Does L’École Van Cleef & Arpels grant a degree or a certificate?
Students receive a certificate, signed by the President of L’ÉCOLE, stating that the student has successfully completed the courses.
How many students are there per course?
There are between 8 and 12 students depending on the course.
At what time are the courses? When is the school open?
L’ÉCOLE Van Cleef & Arpels will have morning courses from 10.30am to 12.30am and afternoon sessions from 2.30 to 6.30pm. Evening conversations will begin at 7pm. Exhibitions will be open from 10.30am to 10pm.
Do I need to reserve a seat for an evening conversation?
Yes. Evening conversations are limited to a maximum number of 80 attendees to ensure interaction between the audience and the guest speakers. You may access the topics of the evening conversations and the dates online via www.me.lecolevancleefarpels.com.
How much are the courses?
The real value of the courses is between 100 to 300 Euros. However, in Dubai the courses will have a symbolic price of 400 AED. All funds collected from course registrations during the event will be donated to Dubai Cares in support to the “Year of Giving”, as declared by the UAE President, His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan.
Where is L’Ecole located?
The campus of L’Ecole in the Middle East will be in Hai D3, at the Dubai Design District. Coordinates: Latitude: 25.18 /Longitude: 55.29. You can find the location in Google Maps and on Waze.
How long are the courses?
The courses last between 2 to 4 hours. The Art History of Jewelry courses are 2 hours. The Savoir-Faire (know-how) courses are 4 hours, with the exception of the watchmaking courses which last 3 hours. And the Gemology courses are either 2 or 4 hours depending on the course. Can children be left alone during the workshops?
Children workshops are for students between 5 and 12 years old. It is compulsory for the parents to stay with children under 8 years old. The parents are welcome to sit next to the children and help them do their creations.
