Through The Eyes of a Connoisseur

L’Ecole presents in Dubai an exhibition created with passion and patience by a jewelry lover – a true connoisseur, and esthete from the Middle East. Through this collect, we invite you to appreciate a selection which gather pieces from the Art Deco period to the present days, created by famous French, Italian or American jewels bus also unsigned. The creations have a particular resonance: they symbolize a decade, a technique or the quintessence of the art of a jeweler.

Emirati Adornment: Transmission & Memories

Emirati traditions witness a large culture of adornments, whether it is tangible or intangible. Jewelry, pervious items, perfumes, facial and body ornaments will be discussed, echoing one of L’Ecole exhibitions, in partnerships with “Lest We Forget” under the Salama Bin Nahyan Foundation.

Architecture and Jewelry

From the project to the final realization, architecture and jewelry speak a common language, despite the scale difference. From infinitely big to the smallest, creation steps and mock-up will be confronted within these two disciplines, through the eye of architect Janus Rostock, who in particular designed the Dubai Opera, and Paul Paradis, Art Historian and Professor at L’Ecole.
